Character Relic

A single character or creature envisioned as a narrative portrait.

These aren’t painted models—they are relics of meaning, glimpses of story caught in stillness.

Examples:

— a lone ranger framed by silver birch and regret

— a warlock whispering to a flame-lit skull

— a martyr mid-transcendence, roses curling at their feet

Narrative Vignette

A contained story told in miniature—two to three figures bound by a moment, memory, or myth.

These are not scenes—they’re echoes, sculpted with care.

Examples:

— a vow taken at the edge of a crumbling bridge

— a dancer frozen mid-pirouette beside a watching ghost

— a duel at dusk, petals falling like ash

Memory Diorama

A fully-realized diorama: sculptural, narrative, and immersive.

These are rare, collector-grade pieces designed for exhibition, legacy, and emotional permanence.

Examples:

— a titan’s fall told in broken marble and red thread

— a battlefield grown over in wildflowers, one standard left standing

— a child’s dream reimagined in layered forest and quiet light

Holy Reliquary

These pieces stretch scale, concept, or material—part relic, part experiment. Intended for private patronage, exhibition, or archival collection.

Only a handful accepted per year.

A Note on Collaboration

All commissions begin with a shared idea—but from there, creative direction is handed over to the studio. Clients are asked to trust the process and let the story come to life organically. If you’re looking for a “paint by instruction” service, we may not be the right fit for you. Moss & Memory is about co-creating meaning—not matching colour swatches.
